Quotable

EverybodCoachkat3y loves a good quote. And runners are kinda deep philosophical beings (especially on long runs!) So this week I thought I would share some of my top running related quotes:

Most inspiring: “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

Most true: “No matter how slow you go, you are still lapping everybody on the couch”

Most motivating: “There will be days when I don’t know if I can run a marathon. There will be a lifetime knowing that I have.”

Deepest: “That’s the thing about running: Your greatest runs are rarely measured by racing success. They are moments in time when running allows you to see how wonderful your life is” ~ Kara Goucher

Only a runner would: “I’m tired, I think I will go for a run” RUNNERS LOGIC

Most hardcore: “To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift” ~ Steve Prefontaine

Funniest: “I run…I’m slower than a herd of turtles stampeding through peanut butter…But I run!”

Most corny: “Your pace or mine”

Simplest: Ask yourself: ‘Can I give more?’. The answer is usually: ‘Yes’. -Paul Tergat

For gym bunnies: “If you think a minute goes by really fast, you’ve never been on a treadmill”

For non-runners: “I don’t run. And if you ever see me run, you should start running too. Because something is probably chasing me.”

For trail junkies: “If you ever find me passed out on the trail, please pause my Garmin.”

From Coach Kat:“If one could run without getting tired I don’t think one would often want to do anything else”~ C.S Lewis

But really…don’t think too much…JUST RUN!
